Our first Cornhole Tourney! Can I get a "hell yeah" from the congregation?

"What's Cornhole," you ask? It's a very simple game. You have two wooden boards 2'x4' with a 6" hole in one end. You have four, 6", 1 lb. bags of corn. From roughly 30' away you have throw the bag of corn through the 6" hole. If it lands on the board you get one point. If it goes through the hole you get three points. Points cancel each other out so if you have 6 points and your opponent has 4 points then you get 2 points. That's it. Very simple. Very frustrating. Very fun! Even if you have never played we encourge you to come out and give it a shot. Literally anyone can do it and I'll almost guarantee you'll be hooked.

We will be playing two person teams on the short 2'x3' boards. $5 per person with no limit on the number of teams. We'll play a single elimination tourney, double if we don't get a lot of teams, with each match being the best two out of three. Depending on the number of teams we'll probably pay 1st through 3rd. If it winds up that we don't have many teams we'll play a King of the Board format where everyone plays with everyone and the person with the most wins, or points if there is a tie, will take the pot. Or we can just play a singles tourney. We'll figure it out.

Yeah, it's gonna be hot. You live in Arizona so you are used to it! Plus, that's why we are planning it a little later in the evening. We'll have the misters on and a poker table setup inside so while you aren't outside sweating and throwing bags you can be inside cooling off and playing some cards.

Show up around 5p. We'll start playing shortly thereafter and around 6p we'll start grillin' burgers, dogs, and brats. We'll have soda and water and probably a few Coronas so bring any other alcohol you'd like. If you want something special to eat feel free to bring it.

All we can say is that this was the most fun we have had in a long time. Better than our poker tourneys! Thank you all VERY MUCH for coming out and playing with us! We had so much fun and will definitely do it again.
